Strictly necessary — always active
These entries keep the site working. They cannot be disabled because the site does not function without them.
- Age-gate session flag — A sessionStorage item (
kwAgeOk) stores a flag once you confirm you are 18 or over. It exists only in your browser tab's memory and is deleted the moment you close the tab. No value is sent to our servers. - Cookie-consent record — Your choices from the panel on this page are stored in localStorage under the key
kensingtonwager-7b9_consent. This entry is never transmitted to any server. It is read on each visit so the site respects your previous selection without asking again.
Analytics cookies — optional, consent required
If you toggle Analytics on in the preference panel, this site loads Google Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) in your browser to count unique visits, record which pages are viewed, and measure time on page. All data is aggregated — we do not see individual user records. The data helps us identify when a page is broken or poorly formatted on a specific device type.
The Analytics toggle activates the signal analytics_storage: granted in Google Consent Mode. Turning it off sets the signal to denied; Google Analytics ceases to write cookies and stops attributing page events to your device.
Affiliate-attribution cookies — optional, consent required
When you click a "Visit" link to an operator via our affiliate programme, a click token is appended to the URL. The affiliate platform may set its own cookies on the operator's domain (not ours) to associate that visit with our account number for commission purposes. These are third-party cookies placed by the operator's platform — they are governed by that operator's cookie policy, not ours.
The Affiliate attribution toggle activates signals ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization in Google Consent Mode. Turning it off denies those signals. Note: even with the toggle off, clicking an outbound link still generates a click token at URL level — what changes is whether cookies related to ad attribution are written.
Third-party cookies from Google Fonts
The Inter typeface is loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google may log your browser's IP address when it requests the font file. This is a browser-level HTTP request and does not involve cookies on this domain. Consult Google's privacy policy for how font-request data is handled.
Managing cookies in your browser
All major browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. Blocking third-party cookies globally will prevent analytics tracking without needing to use our consent panel. The relevant settings are found in:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites via Google's opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Updating your preferences
The "Cookie settings" button in the footer of every page reopens the preference panel. Your current selections are loaded automatically. Save updated choices and the site will respect them immediately.
